Dr. Sophia Malani grew up in Memphis, TN. She went to the University
of Memphis where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with a
major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and mathematics. She
attended Salus University in Philadelphia for her Doctorate in
Optometry.
After completing two years of experience in Brooklyn, NY,
she moved to Dallas, TX to practice as a Therapeutic Optometrist and
Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She has experience in caring for
patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, eye injury,
and infections.
Her professional interests include primary eye care,
specialty contact lens, and ocular disease. In her spare time, Dr.
Malani enjoys traveling with her husband and exploring new
restaurants and cuisines. She is a member of the Northeast Texas
Optometric Society, Dallas Optometric Society, and Texas Optometric
Association.
As a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist, Dr. Sherry Cui is passionate about taking the time to provide comprehensive eye care for children and adults. She optimizes your daily lifestyle to create the best treatment option for you.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Dr. Cui graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science degree in cell and molecular biology. She then graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) and completed clinical externships with a focus on neuro-optometry and ocular conditions such as thyroid eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, and ocular infections. During her time at UHCO, she enjoyed providing her skills as a volunteer during the Special Olympics vision screening, as a sighted guide at the HAVIN Insight expo, and as an optometric volunteer during a clinic trip in Guerrero. After graduating, she furthered her experiences at clinics specializing in binocular vision dysfunction, vision therapy, pediatrics optometry, and orthokeratology for myopia management.
Dr. Cui is fluent in Mandarin, and outside of the clinic, Dr. Cui enjoys yoga, traveling, baking sweet treats, and exploring local farmer’s markets.
